We are pleased to announce that we have opened a new office in the heart of Murray Bridge, South Australia, enhancing our support for people in the state.

In addition, our existing Port Pirie premises have been expanded to provide more space for therapy and staff to work.

It extends our footprint in South Australia with other offices currently located in Elizabeth Vale, Melrose Park and Mount Gambier. Outreach services are also offered in Kadina and Roxby Downs. It cements our commitment to helping people with disability to live their best life, their way in the community with a range of therapeutic programs.

The Benevolent Society provides uniquely tailored disability supports and programs to people with disabilities at all ages including Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Behaviour Support, Music Therapy and NDIS Support Coordination.

The expansion into Murray Bridge is due to high unmet demand for disability therapeutic support services in the area.

Michael Woodhouse, The Benevolent Society’s Executive Director Disability, Ageing & Carers, said: “We are hoping to provide greater access to therapy support for NDIS participants in the region, who have historically had very long wait times, as well as Early Intervention Supports in pre-schools in the area as part of our Education Department grant funding.”

It's also part of a commitment to expand The Resilient Families Program into the Murray Bridge area. Funded by the South Australian and Commonwealth Governments, the program is delivered by The Benevolent Society and works with families who have an at-risk child.

Mr Woodhouse said: “This is an opportunity for Resilient Families and Disability to work closely together with complex families in the region to ensure they receive seamless, coordinated and timely service delivery.”

The Port Pirie location has been newly re-developed and expanded at its pre-existing location in Norman Street. “We are planning on growing our team in Port Pire to provide greater access to NDIS therapy supports for local people and expanding our office to provide a great place to work in a thriving multidisciplinary team environment, and better facilities to expand the programs we can offer to our clients, including group therapy and cooking programs,” Mr Woodhouse added.
