Rod Young

Rod’s extensive experience in health systems management and aged care policy has included management roles in major teaching hospitals, and development and implementation of policy reform in the hospital and aged care sectors.  Rod was the national CEO of Aged Care Association Australia for 12 years, contributing to the industry’s national asset base exceeding $30B and an accommodation funds pool in excess of $12B.  He was the founder and is a member of the Aged Care Industry IT Council (ACIITC) and Chair of the ITAC (IT in Aged Care) National Technology Conference.  Rod is a member of the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Ageing, NSW and has a particular interest in how society adjust their service structures to ensure maximum engagement with their ageing citizens, especially around social engagement, healthy lifestyle and well-being. Rod is also a Director of NSW Meals on Wheels.
