Groups
We have a number of different groups that are supported by our qualified staff. These groups include:
- Universal playgroups for different age groups,
- Targeted groups for specific populations, like young parents and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders,
- Kindermusic groups,
- Pre-kindy groups and
- Groups for children with additional needs.
Parenting Programs
FREE evidence-based Parenting programs are available on a regular basis. These programs can help with everyday parenting challenges and increase skills and understanding. Programs are run by trained staff and are either during or after hours, with the option of crèche in most groups.

Family Support
Sometimes families need more support than can be provided in groups. We have a diverse team of professionals who can provide families with FREE 1:1 support where the need arises. The support we can provide is as varied as the issues presented. If you think you might need more support, give us a call and speak to an intake officer to make a referral.
Other services include and are not limited to; infant health checks, supported playgroups, infant massage classes, immunisation clinics, parenting programs, playgroups, toy library, family support services, community based midwifery services and a coordinated program approach to working with local early years services and allied health professionals.
Our Child and Family Team also provide the optional service of voluntary targeted intervention services to families with at least one child under the age of eight living at home who are facing problems that impact on their ability to care for their children. Our Family Support service is an early intervention program helping build resilience in vulnerable families with young children. The program focuses on ensuring children can live safely in their homes by preventing and overcoming issues that may be impacting families including domestic and family violence, substance misuse and parental mental health issues etc.
By preventing issues from escalating and reaching a crisis point, families stay together and less children have involvement with the Statutory Child Protection system, corrective or mental health services.
