The Sri Venkateswara Temple is Australia’s first Hindu temple built in the traditional style of South Hindu architecture and has been listed as a heritage item by the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage. The guide will walk us through the temple explaining the history of the building as well as the customs and practices of the Hindu faith. We will round off this wonderfully cultural and enriching experience with a (non-spicy) South Indian meal specially prepared by the volunteers that work at the temple.
We will kindly respect the custom of the temple and wear appropriate clothing that covers shoulders and knees.
