This time of year can be challenging and hard to navigate for many people.

With 2024 almost here, now is the perfect time for making plans to give back to the local community and contribute to a brighter tomorrow for those in need.

The Benevolent Society has been supporting our communities, children, families, older Australians and people with disability for over 200 years.

You can support us on our mission to help people live their best life this festive season and beyond by making a donation or volunteering with us.

Volunteering

Volunteers are the heart of The Benevolent Society’s work. Their tireless work each day helps us support more people in communities across Australia.

Whether it is taking the time to volunteer at one of our community events or devoting time each week to assist those residing in one our aged care centres or in our early years centres, there are lots of way to get involved now. These contributions all make a big difference.

Donate

A donation to The Benevolent Society provides crucial funds for services that support vulnerable Australians. You can read more here about how The Benevolent Society is using donations to provide vital support to children from disadvantaged communities.

The Benevolent Society has a long history of supporting children and families especially the most vulnerable. We help families navigate through those challenges and provide support before things reach a crisis.

Our early childhood and family support services offer early intervention strategies, literacy support as well as referrals to specialists such as occupational and speech therapists. We also deliver supported playgroups promoting safety and parenting techniques for children who are not reaching their developmental milestones.

“Any tax-deductible gift is greatly appreciated,” says Gina Grimaldi, our Philanthropy & Fundraising Manager. “These donations are used where they are the most needed and have the greatest impact.

“There are many ways to start donating today. This can be done as a once-off or recurring payment, getting involved in fundraising, corporate giving or leaving a gift in your will. Your support will make a difference to enriching the lives of vulnerable Australians.”
