Why Early Support Matters

Addressing concerning sexual behaviours early is vital for a child’s wellbeing and development. Early intervention helps:

  • Reduce the risk of future harm
  • Promote healthy emotional and social development
  • Teach children about boundaries and respectful behaviour
  • Identify and respond to underlying issues such as trauma or abuse

About the Program

The Pathways to Safety and Support (PSS) Pilot offers tailored support for children and young people (aged 0 to 17) who have shown sexual behaviours that are concerning, developmentally inappropriate, or potentially harmful.

Our goal is to help children and young people understand respectful relationships, while working closely with their parent/carer and support networks to ensure safety and healthy development.

We also provide support to professionals working with children and young people, including schools, care providers, and service organisations.
