The Volunteer Home Visiting Program supports families who may require additional support with a volunteer who can; • Assist parents adjusting to the birth of a new baby • Manage the needs of multiple children • Provide support to parents/carers who are feeling isolated or overwhelmed • Enhance a family’s connection to their community • Enhance parenting capacity, through the companionship of a volunteer The program is based on the Gold Coast, servicing areas between Coolangatta and Pimpama. The program is led by a Coordinator who provides support and guidance to 10+ volunteers, who can assist with activities such as play-time with children, company during medical appointments and importantly, a social connection which is often forgotten when juggling life as a parent.
