Our Gracemere - Mount Morgan Early Years Place provides supportive play and development programs for families and children aged birth to 8 years.
Our Early Childhood Years Place is located at 32 Thompson Ave, Mount Morgan QLD 4714. We also provide supports to all families living in the Capricornia region (Central QLD) which includes but isn't limited to the Mount Morgan, Gracemere, Kabra and Bouldercombe areas. We also work out in the community of Gracemere.
What we do
- Our center runs supported playgroups for families with children from birth to 5 years of age. With development focused activities that allow you to interact positively with your child while meeting other parents in your community.
- Our pop-up Playgroups are run during the school holidays for families with children from birth to 8 years of age, these groups reflect the communities needs and are fun and engaging.
- As part of our child and family support service, we work alongside families to provide a tailored one-on-one support depending on your needs.
- We have a maternal child health nurse on site in Mount Morgan who is available for child development health checks for your child with friendly discussions around concerns you may have.
- We offer a transition to school group, which is a play-based program that provides families access to information about the benefits and logistics of enrolling their child into an approved Kindergarten program, and to help prepare children for the routines they might find when attending Kindy & Prep. We work closely with the local schools to assist with a smoother transition for families and children.
- Our Parenting workshops allow you to Learn, laugh and grow with other parents in our relaxed and practical workshops in our Soul Sisters program.
- We offer the Circle of Security Parenting program which assists guardians in identifying or responding to children’s emotional needs. COS-P supports & strengthens your relationship with your child. This program is on offer by registration only.
- Our service is supported with visiting organisations such as Catholic Care, Central Queensland Indigenous Development (CQID), Maternal Child Health, Women’s Health Information and Referral Service to name a few. We can also assist with referrals to other services as needed.
