  • Accessing My Aged Care - If you are just beginning your aged care journey or supporting someone through theirs, this presentation is for you. During this session you will learn about what services are available to help you stay in your own home, how to register, eligibility and fees.
  • Emergency Care Planning for Carers - Emergencies can happen anytime. As a Carer, planning for emergencies will help you to cope even when things go wrong. If you want to learn what an Emergency Care Plan is, what it looks like and how to prepare one, so you or the person you care for are looked after in an emergency, then this session is for you.
  • Hazelhurst Art Gallery Tour & Morning Tea - Meet your peers for a day out at the Gallery. You're invited to a private guided tour of the Gallery. Spend some time taking in the amazing artwork of local as well as world renowned artists/sculptors. Our guide will provide insights and facts about the works, what was the process behind the amazing works of art? Where did the artist's inspiration come from? Once the tour is completed, we will share morning tea in the café.
  • Managing emotions during the holiday season - The holiday season is fast approaching. While it is festive and celebrative for many, it can be a period that brings up strong emotions for others. In this session, Dr Snow Li will help you to understand how festive seasons can trigger difficult emotions.
  • Overnight Mindfulness Workshop for Carers - Expression of Interest - Do you need to have 1 night away and recharge your batteries? Then why not join us for an overnight mindfulness workshop where you will have time to meet with other carers, learn some skills and immerse yourself in mindfulness activities to help you in your caring role.
  • I Fly - Get ready to take your wings for a test run and try out indoor skydiving and body flight. Including pre-flight training, one on one assistance as you fly, a flight suit, helmet and googles for the day and a flight certificate.
  • Mental Health First Aid - Mental Health First Aid skills are based on, early-intervention training is designed to empower carers by equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to recognise, connect and respond to someone experiencing a mental health issues or mental health crisis. 1 in 5 Australians will experience mental health issues at any given year.
  • Family End of Year Celebration - Come along as we celebrate the year and our time together, for a fun filled family day enjoying the fresh breeze and water activities. Activities will include, paddle boarding, kayaking, or sailing and some cool sand games as well. If you prefer to just laze around and connect with other carers you are welcome.
  • Raging Waters - Raging Waters is Sydney's best family amusement and water park, featuring 25 hectares of family-friendly fun, including 42 water slides, rides, and attractions. It is not only for the thrill-seekers, but the water park also offers a range of family-friendly slides and rides as well. Transport and lunch included. Take note some rides will have height restriction and registrations for this event will close on the 7th of December.
