Thank you for choosing us. You were assessed after 12 September 2024, and you’re already part of The Benevolent family, and we're truly grateful to be supporting you. You’ve got the care, connection, and trusted faces you know — and that’s staying just the way it is.
What changed on 1 November, 2025? On 1 November 2025, the Support at Home program was introduced as the new national in-home aged care program. It was redesigned to give people more choice, greater flexibility, and easier access to the support they need to live safely and independently at home. Since your Home Care Package was assessed after 12 September 2024, there are some important changes under the new system, and we’ll guide you through what they mean.
What stays the same Your home support partner will have been in touch by now to check in and guide you through a simple agreement update to keep everything running smoothly. You will not lose any money. Your services will remain the same.
What were the changes to your funding? You moved to Support at Home with the same level of funding as your previous Home Care Package. Any unspent money you had was transferred with you and can still be used on your services. Your money now comes in quarterly instead of daily, but it will be the same amount overall. You’ll be able to roll over up to $1,000 or 10% of your quarterly budget (whichever is higher) to cover any unexpected extras. Hourly rates changed to include administration and other expenses previously covered under the package management fee.
What changed? On 1 November 2025, all Home Care Packages were moved to Support at Home. Your money (funding) is now available as a quarterly budget instead of a daily amount that you can spend across 3 months. Some services were renamed, but your support stays the same. You will now be paying a co-contribution towards services delivered instead of an income tested care fee. You might now be paying a personal contribution towards your services. This depends on your individual circumstances. Services Australia will have been in contact about this.
We’ll support you and explain your options, it’s our job to make sure you feel supported every step of the way. You can contact us on 1800 236 762, and speak with our friendly team. Or you can submit the form below. Call us today - 1800 236 762
