Oh what a night! Bronwyn celebrates 20 years with Jobsupport

2019 has been a big year for Bronwyn as she celebrated 10 years of service with The Benevolent Society.

Bronwyn recently had the chance to mark another milestone when she reached 20 years of service of her employment agency, Jobsupport. Time to celebrate!

Bronwyn and Jobsupport: a 20 year relationship

Bronwyn has Down syndrome, and was supported to find her job with us by Job Support.

Job Support is a disability employment service that places and trains people with a disability into secure employment. Bronwyn has been their client for 2 decades and still has a weekly visit from her case worker, Tennille.

Through her 20 years with Job Support, Bronwyn has built a career working for businesses including a printing company, before moving onto her roles within TBS, first with Ageing Disability and Home Care NSW (ADHC) and then as an Admin Assistant.

Marking two decades

Bronwyn was invited to receive her award at the 2019 Job Support awards night, and was thrilled to be acknowledged for 20 years committed to her work and her achievements in the face of challenge and change.

“I’m so proud of myself for finally getting my 20 years with Jobsupport. I was jumping for joy,”

Bronwyn had a day off work to attend the event which also marked Job Support’s 800th client. She and her mum took the train into the city, dressed up for the gala event at the Shangri-La Hotel.

“I was anxious to get up there,” she says.

Bronwyn’s manager, Natalie, met her at the event as she met with other Job Support honourees. Bronwyn was “really pumped” and thrilled to hear her name called. She received her 20-year award from the Minister for Families and Social Services, Anne Ruston. She shook her hand and gave a loud “yay!” as she posed for photos.

Congratulations Bronwyn, we look forward to celebrating many more magic moments with you!
