Our annual Glebe family fun day is coming up!
The Benevolent Society is hosting its second annual “Glebe Family Fun Day” at Wentworth Park, Glebe, on Thursday January 23, 2020, from 4:30pm – 7:30pm. The Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, will open the event, which will offer a range of free activities for families to enjoy leading into the end of the school holidays.
Activities include:
- Face painting, superheroes and jumping castles
- Giveaways, including a signed Sydney Kings basketball and free game tickets
- Hopping in a fire truck and chatting with the local firefighters
- BBQs, ice-creams, fairy floss and pizza truck
- Flash Zumba class
- Neck and shoulder massages from professional masseuses
- A dog and owner race organised by The Glebe Hotel
- Local organisation information stalls from The Benevolent Society, Bridge Housing, Fernwood Fitness, City of Sydney, Mob Strong Debt Help, and Financial Right Legal Centre.
The aim of the event is to provide a fun and welcoming day that everyone can enjoy; to bring the Glebe Community together and to connect with other community organisations in the area.
