The Benevolent Society are proud to announce that Claudia Lennon, Manager of Resilient Families (RF) has been nominated for a 2019 Impact 25 Award organised by Pro Bono Australia.
Impact 25 recognises individuals who are working to make the world a better place. These leaders are innovators and influencers in the social sector and strive each day to be a force for good. They’re extraordinary people who take action for the needs of their communities and are positive influences on the lives of those around them, often without recognition or thanks.
Resilient Families Program
In July 2018, The Benevolent Society’s Social Benefit Bond (SBB) was the first SBB (also called a Social Impact Bond), in Australia to mature. Under the Bond, private investors supported a pilot program, Resilient Families, an intensive family preservation service designed to divert children from entering out-of-home-care by improving family functioning and creating a safer environment for children.
Our Resilient Families teams are based in Hurstville and Liverpool, Sydney. They continue to deliver this ground-breaking intensive family support intervention, to help at risk families to develop capability and long-term solutions for issues impacting the safety and wellbeing of children.
