Our response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Current Update: 27 March 2020 

  • Our priority is to ensure our clients continue to have access to our services wherever it is safe to do so.
  • We have not had any confirmed cases of the virus in our workforce and we are monitoring this frequently.
  • We have implemented protocols that align with Department of Health in all of our work places and centres.

Protecting our clients, staff and community

The Benevolent Society cares about the safety, health and wellbeing of our people, clients and communities.

Given the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its declaration by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a pandemic, our organisation is taking considered action to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of our people, clients, volunteers, guests, suppliers and contractors.

We place high importance on the prevention, management and control of infections through best practice for clients and to ensure our work environments are safe for our people in accordance with relevant laws, regulations and standards.

Our workforce are now working remotely and with our clients.  Our National Office in Glebe remains open.
