Michael Bromley is an experienced executive and non-executive director with a background in areas including investment banking, digital transformation, technology leadership, and innovation.
He is currently the Founder and CEO of VentureSpark, a venture generator focusing on developing new technology ventures that integrate corporate, education, and government organisations to deliver social impact.
His previous executive experience includes Group Director of Emerging Markets at Blackberry, Head of Online at Telstra, Executive Director of Digital Creative Services and Ecosystems at Insurance Australia Group Ltd, Group Chief Executive Officer at Stone & Chalk, and Chief Executive at AustCyber.
Alongside his work in technology and startups, Michael is passionate about supporting the not-for-profit sector and sharing his insights to help organisations in this space to innovate.
A major focus for Michael is finding ways to best enhance cybersecurity measures, and his tenacity for fast-paced work in technology and startups also brings valuable insights into how to best scale organisations while remaining laser-focused on client outcomes.
Michael also serves as Non-Executive Director at a number of organisations. These include not-for-profit organisations Jabiru Community Services, Sequal Ltd, Learning Links, and Siblings Australia. He is also currently Senate Appointed Non-Executive Director at the University of Sydney Union (USU), and Non-Executive Director at collaboration app Peopled.
