Deliver Person-Centred Services

The Benevolent Society continued to deliver quality programs and services to older Australians, carers, people living with disability, children and families, supporting them to live their life, their way.

This year, we provided support through a partnership with the Disability Advocacy Support Helpline and implemented the Clinical Governance Framework to ensure continuous care and enhance client support. We launched the Carer Conversations podcast to offer resources and guidance to carers, and maintained our partnership with Westpac to continue to drive the Safer Children, Safer Communities initiative.

Influencing Social Change

The Benevolent Society's practice wisdom informs its work to change systems, policies and environments for the benefit of its clients, communities and service delivery.

This year we continued to be a trusted partner to sector stakeholders and governments at all levels, collaborating to make positive and proactive change. We did this by actively engaging in shaping policy and practice in areas critical to the well-being of children, young people and families, such as our submissions to the draft National Care and Support Economy Strategy (June 2023) and The South Australian Autism Strategy Discussion Paper (February 2023).

Achieving Growth for Impact

Building on our long experience and established strengths in supporting people, families and communities, our vision is to grow and develop in a way that enables us to create a long-term social impact.

Our strategic vision of growth for impact includes increasing our client services across the organisation. This was evident in South Australia with the opening of our new office in Murray Bridge, and the expansion of our existing premises in Port Pirie.
