Applications Specialist

  • Competitive remuneration + Salary Packaging. Full time position based in Glebe
  • Flexible work arrangements to suit a healthy work/life balance

Your life. Your way. At The Benevolent Society it’s not just a tag line. It’s who we are. We provide support for elderly Australians, carer’s, children, youth and families, as well as people with disability to live their best life. It’s what we’ve been dedicated to since 1813.

The role

The role is to administer, maintain and further develop the several applications used across all business units. This includes vendor and shareholder management, a great understanding of user support and identification of business needs. You will hold a crucial position in a talent dense team helping our employees to provide the best service possible. Work closely with developers, systems engineers, technical leads, vendors and system matter experts to build the world we love to work in.

Who are you?

Where others see a problem, you not only see a solution but commit to the implementation of a long-term fix. You can trouble shoot and problem solve, with a flair for working out what the "non-technical" amongst us are trying to tell you.

You are a team player who understands that working in an "Ego-system" is much less enjoyable than being part of a candid but positive & talented crew.

What do you need for success?

We want you to be successful in your new role! This means you will have:

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise application support and administration in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in Microsoft stack environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, SQL Server, IIS)
  • Experience planning, developing and implementing Power Apps, Power Automate and integration applications like Dell Boomi
  • Ability to create documentation so others can get it too
  • An ability to map it out, plan it, and deliver it from idea to implementation, with an understanding of the structure you need to make sure it’s secure and compliant.

What we offer

On top, this is why it’s really worth working with us:

  • Salary Benefits - Salary package $15,900 pa + $2,650 meals and entertainment card + discount program and package vehicles!
  • Work/Life Balance - One ADO per month + purchased addition leave
  • Recognition and Reward - Length of Service rewards + long service leave after 5 years
