Deputy Manager

Early Childhood Early Intervention – Access, Engagement and Intervention

Funded by the NDIA, and in line with evidence-based best practice, the Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) program is designed to connect families to a range of flexible and responsive supports for children (aged under 7 years) with developmental delay or disability.

Our ECEI Team works with parents and carers of children with a disability or developmental delay to consider funded supports; short term intervention and community and mainstream connections that will support them to better participate in the community and reach their full potential.

Your new role

This leadership role sits in a strong Practice and Leadership Team that delivers the ECEI program across the Moreton Bay; Greater Brisbane; Logan and Redlands areas. Your aim is to ensure your team are positioned to provide exceptional services to children and families so they better participate in the community and reach their full potential.

You will be responsible for leading our Access, Engagement and Intervention team with direct reports including Team Leaders, Senior Allied Health Practitioners and Senior Community Development Workers to ensure our teams have the practice capability and cultural awareness to effectively support families.  You will provide clear focused leadership, professional supervision and be available to your team. You will partner with key community stakeholders to facilitate referrals and improve outcomes for each family.

As part of our Area Management Team, you will have the full support of our Program Manager, a colleague in an adjacent Deputy Manager Role as a buddy and a highly experienced Work Place trainer to support your team.

Terms: Ongoing full-time role based in Caboolture, Milton or Loganholme

Your experience

You will have tertiary level qualifications in a relevant field and minimum five years’ experience in a leadership position and:

  • Previous experience leading a team and utilising coaching skills to build team capability and embed quality practice
  • A thorough understanding of early childhood development and early childhood intervention
  • Demonstrated experience working with, and/or knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to the service
  • Strong problem solving skills and leadership skills including troubleshooting, managing multiple deadlines and staff and client conflict resolution
